Got stabilizer cylinder repaired

The cylinder had 1500 hrs on it before it started leaking. I had it rebuilt. Just got it back together today. Cylinder gets covered with dirt, so I figure I would try to keep the dirt out of the cylinder. Hope it works. It didn't cost much, a little paper towel and a little electrical tape. Sorry for the dark pic, but you get the idea.

Stabilzer cylinder seals are usually worn by dings in the rod from rocks dropping on them. Rods are often protected by attaching heavy rubber in front of them. You might acquire some heavy belting and hose clamp it to the cylinder so that it extends over the rod.

There is metal protection over the cylinder. Dirt
on rod damaged seal, no dings in rod.
