I have a 1999 new holland model 1920 4x4 with shuttle shift. its been working great, been parked for 6 weeks and i go out and crank it and when i press the clutch and try to put it in forward or reverse it wont go. but with tractor turned off the lever shifts fine. any ideas

Your clutch disc is stuck to the flywheel. If you can start it in gear safely, do so and then hold the clutch pedal down and hit the brakes sharply to break it loose.
In the future when being stored that long, prop the clutch pedal down.

(quoted from post at 10:10:07 01/19/15) i will try that this evening and post back with results. thanks
got tractor to crank and was able to get it moving in low range I went about 40 yards hitting the brakes to the point it almost choked down I heard a pop and it unstuck the clutch and its fine now. Thanks for the advice. I will lock the clutch pedal down from now on
