St Charles is more of a farming county, and lays next to St. Louis, to the West. Look up the St. Charles county Farm Bureau. Their board of directors are all farmers. Someone there might steer you to what you are looking for. St. Genevieve county lays to the south, and Lincoln county to the north. Each on of those counties have a county Farm Bureau office.

Each county will be listed in phone directories by their county name. "Lincoln County Farm Bureau" "St. Genevieve county Farm Bureau" etc.

The folks that answer the phone mostly deal with insurance, but each county board consists of local farmers and generally one or more of the local ins. agents specalize in the farm insurance. They can steer you to someone I would think.

Good luck, Gene

You right across the river from Collinsville Il., the Horse Radish capital of the world.

To the east in the Highland-Marine Il area is big dairy and beef country.

There's not much big time farming left in St. Charles County anymore. Too much development for subdivisions. You can take a drive up Hwy 79 and still see some big ag in the river valley. Otherwise, you'll have to go north to Lincoln County.

You can also go north out of the City of St. charles on HWY 94, and there is a lot of ag there too. Again, river valley/flood plain.
