I have a oliver super 77... It shifts good, no bad noise or anything like that but it won't go into R1 or 5th and there may be another gear that I can't think of right now... Does anyone know what could be causing this??

1 and 2? So you're only finding one neutral and only have 3,4,6 and R2?
If that's the case, let the shift center itself then pull it straight back toward the seat. Or toward your knee,or whatever.

Ya the Oliver 6 speed take of bit to get where you can shift them well. Took me a bit to figure them out years ago. I have a 77 and a S88 both good pulling machines and do more HP to HP of any other tractor I have

Have you had the tractor awhile and this just started to happen or just got the tractor? If you are familiar with Oliver shifting either post back here or over on Oliver board.

. I have 3 John deers one G and two As... Also have farmalls but have never owned an Oliver. I found this one at a sale... It runs good. That is its only problem... Any help is appreciated...

Thanks

Here is the common Oliver shift pattern. You have the "H" pattern with a neutral shift between the two. Your actually shifting a HI-LO range when your going for the one pattern to the other.

Good job maybe with the picture folks will figure it out. This has just been on here about three times in the last 6 months. I know the first one I ever tried to dive I thought TWO NUTURALS ? who eve came up with that, but I guess live and lear

It's a pretty simple set up when you think about it. The gear shift and high/low range all on one lever. Nothing to it when you look at it that way.
My 1982 White has the same pattern, but it's on the console.

The fun one is on a Oliver 55 or 550 with that curved gear shift that sticks out under your left leg. When that gets a little wear it is fun to find the gears on.

Some of the old Case tractors had 4 gears and reverse on each side and two neutrals and they were real tricky
to go from one neutral to the other,Olivers are a breeze to shift beats having to fool with an extra high/low lever.
