How old must a tractor be to be an antique?

I just realized these Thousand Series Fords are turning 50 years old this year.
Here are a few that if they aren't 50 yet at least have earned a few gray hairs..

That is a 'gray' area.According to E.D.G.T.A.(Early Day Gasaengine &Tractor Assn),1939 and older is 'antique';'39 to '59 is 'classic';'59 to over 30 years old is 'heritage'.Most 'older'(diehard). guys consider anything 59 and older as 'antique'.Personally,I would consider those Fords as 'classic'.

can't help you on the age thing... but thanks for the pictures, i learnt to drive on a 1965 ford 3000... i still miss that tractor.

I would say they have to be older than I am to be an antique. Those tractors you who are just good working maintained equipment, with exception of that 4th one. That one had to be in India. It sure looks like some of the stuff I saw over there. One of the best working tractors I ever used was a 64 2000. I've got a 64 International 504 now and I don't really consider it old. LOL It's just good stuff. :D

Here is my Ford 4400! I think that it is an antique, just because they don't make them anymore.. Certainly a SUPER good tractor! Love it dearly...

Here in Indiana, a car over 25 years old can be licensed with antique plates, but with restrictions on how driven. Antique tractor pulls have varying rules. Some will use year of manufacture, others will use year of introduction etc. I have been on antique tractor cruises (50 yrs or older) where someone will drive 1970's tractor with cab and air conditioning and nothing is said.
I would say an antique tractor is anything manufactured 1965 or earlier.

I say anything older than I is qualified as an antique. Since I was born the year of the classics. That makes my old 4020s still young. Lol

Well...
Yours was built after 4/68 so you got at least 3 years to go before it's legal. But not everyone knows that so yeah we'll let you sneak in.
Nice tractor Larry.
I've seen your photos of it before and always liked it.
My 3000 in the photos above aint legal either.
Serial # says it's a 76 3600 but I like the old style tin better so that's what she wears.
Don't tell the fellows on YT though.
