Trying to figure out what the cabs were on our D17 and ford 4000. Picture was taken back in late 80's early 90's.I have no idea who manufacturing them. I remember they had posts that you mount on the fenders and sliding glass windows.Any help would be great. Thanks yall.

Not sure by the picture but one company I remember from years ago was Koehn (spelled correctly? pronounced Kane) I have a piece of literature on their cabs somewhere.

Another real popular one was HINKLER. I sold the yeararound and those do not really look like what we had.

I agree cab in OP's photo is definitely not a Hiniker or Year-a-round.

Sort of looks like the MEAD cab that I have sitting around here. It has an internal sliding door but right now cant remember if it had sliding windows.

They both look VERY similar to the ones that were on the very rare IH 866's on the last Machinery Pete. He went to a retirement auction, and the owner had a 1964 and a 1966, and they were both beautiful. Had duals on them, and these cabs...

I guess that doesn't help at all, but maybe it will jog someones memory!! :) Bryce

I know they only sat at fender/ hood height. my father fabricated the sheet metal on the lower part for the Allis and the ford had a heat houser wrapped underneath.

For that time period could it be a FULL VISION CAB? The cab in the picture ,what you can see of it, has too much metal not enough glass. My uncle had a 830 Case with an EGGING CAB kinda look's like that but now I'm getting confused so I'm out of here. WILDMAN

I believe it is a Comfort Clear Vue. Friend had one on a IH 656 high clear many years ago. Had curtains that went around the bottom.

Does anybody here know if there is any cab that I can put on my AC 170. after market or from an Allis Chalmers tractor.
I was hoping to find one like this, but I may be out of luck as it were. Any info would be great. thank you.

Yes, but of course I can't remember the name. I want to say it was Full Vision, but I don't know for sure. Grandpa had a factory cab on his 170, but I took it off about 10 years ago and sold it. It was a perfect fit though. Just fit between the fenders and sealed down to the hood just in front of the fuel neck for the gas tank.

Where are you located? I have seen a Full Vision cab on a D19 in my area that an old AC dealer had. I think he removed the cab but don't know if he sold it or not.

That must be a very later Koehn. I aint never seen one like that. I am 40 miles from where they were built so there were lots of them around. I would say that the op picture is the early Koehn.
