Sunday Jan. 4th Here In Crawfordsville In. Gas is $1.47 at Shell and at Speedway. Filled 6 cans, will it be good next summer? Gene

Seal the cans best you can, try to prevent evaporation and collecting moisture. It should be fine.

$1.47 is a great price, it's a bit higher here in central Ohio. I was in New York this past Friday and didn't see any roadside signage under $2.47 and as high a 2.65. Sure glad I don't live there.

The newest and best (IMO) is the Ethanol Shield available at Tractor Supply (and others). This stuff blows Stabil out of the water! It goes in all my fuel I use for small engines. 1 oz per 5 gallons works for 1 year.

I dunno, we have ethanol gas here in NY and I've NEVER had a single problem with storing gas in cans for 4-5 months with no additives or preservatives of any kind.

Some people will have you believe the gas goes bad if you stare at it funny. That's just not my experience.

Same thing here with our gas. I've bought had in early spring and had it in a can in my detached garage for the whole summer and finished it off in the snowblower. Burned just fine all the way to the end.

Haven't done it since though because as soon as I filled all my cans at what I thought was a good price, it dropped and stayed lower all summer.

Never had a problem with fuel containing ethanol. Most
problems are something else but blamed on ethanol by the
uninformed.

You are going to risk your building, your equipment, you life maybe due to a fire, to save $4? I keep all flammables in an old shed thet is 120 feet from the closest building. What about your storage?
