It's a sad day...

I have to stop off at Interstate for a new battery for the chore pickup. They don't make them like they used to - this one has only been in there since 2002. I guess the old 1980 Chevy with a 350 is pretty easy on them.

Yep,pretty pathetic.... My brother in law recently replaced a 6v battery that had been in a Farmall 300. That one 'only' lasted 13 years. LOL The 'bad' part.... The tractor sat for over 6-8 months every year during the coldest part of the year at below zero at COLD Gunnison Co.No 'tender' was ever used

I Gotcha on that LOL.. I got a Pickup that has an Interstate battery in it since 2000 Seriously! They're about the best battery around I think.. Larry

Haven't noticed in awhile but I used to have the kitchen tv on before going to work, weather always said the coldest and warmest places in the country, Gunnison was mentioned a lot.

I noticed at an oil change place the whole large pile of batteries was almost all dead Interstate batteries. I have good luck from Delco batteries.I don't buy any battery with a white casing.

Avoid interstate batterys that are made in Mexico, they have changed manufacturers recently. Local COOP is having problems with them and are now selling another make. I can't think of the name now, American made anyway.

Interstate was closed. I had to go with a battery from Orscheln. I bought an 84 month battery – the truck will probably not last as long as the new battery. Rest will eventually take over even the thick metal from 1980.

Had good luck with them until lately. Last one went out at about 13 months. Interstate gave me a whopping $13.xx credit on a new battery. The one that went bad was a 72 mo battery, the new one was a 60 mo battery. Never again.
