wishes for the new year

Am wishing good health and prosperity to all the good folks on YT.
At our home the wish list is short but filled with lots of hope.
1. Good health for the Warden. She had her pancreas removed this summer and it dealing with the diabetes and insulin therapy as best she can.
2. I need a job. Lost my job of 25 yrs to an accident. No injuries, I was the only one on the bus. Lady crossed the center line on a rainy, foggy, morning at a curve in the road. I got blamed initially. But at an appeal I won. But damage to the bus was extravigent and reason enough to let me go. Only 5 others employed there draw the same salary I did. As well as some of the bennies. So I saved them a few bucks right at the beginning of their fiscal year.
3 Father in law is fighting a rare blood cancer that puts to much protein in his blood. Has to start chemo in a week or so. for the 2nd time.
4. Retired neighbor gent passed away this week to a kidney infection. He was an awesome neighbor, guy and family man. Wishes for his family that all goes well and his lovely wife of 50 yrs don't give up on the place and move to town. It is a 3 generation farm now and could be a 5 easily if no one gets nasty about stuff. I just like the folks as neighbors so Im wishing the best for them.
5. Friends and family I wish good health and happiness. Hope your days are filled with smiles.
God bless all of you. Mike

Mike I hope this year does not challenge you like 2014 did. I wish you good luck in finding a "new" job. I hope you will find one that maybe you like better than the last.

mike,if your wife is thinking about getting a insulin pump,or doesn't have one I would highly recommend them.this will be the 20th year ive had mine and I wouldn't have it any other way.im a reference the dr and pump support groups use to people that are undecided on them, ide be more than happy to talk with you and/or your wife if you would like to pm me and ill send you my number

We actually got the pump a month ago and the add on sensor 2 weeks ago. Sensor is a pain. We keep telling the nurses that it needs to be recalibrated. It keeps wanting her to take blood every 15 to 20 minutes. We are working on it though. She has the Medtronic pump. So far been good to work for.

I have the Medtronic pump also, only company ive dealt with, this sounds crazy but I don't recomemd the "continuous clugose monitor",ive had the opportunity to wear one 4-6 times over the years,my problem is they just simply don't stick,i use "skin-tac" to apply both the infusion site and the "cgm",ive also had a 4 by 4 gause taped over the "cgm" and their just not worth the agrivation.a handy tip I tell/show everyone on where to put the pump while sleeping-wearing sweats is very easy, when wearing underwear take a common baby sock, drop pump into it,hose up,hold top of sock, pull the elastic band on the underwear away from your body, lower sock into that area, let top half of sock fall down away from body,i use the belt clip when I wear jeans, they will break,j-b weld works great for the fix too.ive found it best to use the 23 inch quick-sets,and I always drop the sock kinda at the 10-11 oclock position if viewed from the top.i know the women have bra clips but everyone that wears a dress thanks me for this tip, also one touch has a meter that will work in conjunction with the pump
