Thanks to all who provided information when this was posted 12/28/14. I was having the same problem of the blower motor working occasionally. Lot's of info was provided. I went to the local dealership this morning and the resistor for the blower motor was replaced N/C, it all came under a 10 year replacement warranty. Cheers, Murray

My resistor was the culprit but it had been already switched out for an after market one before I bought the truck so no GM warranty.

Mine went bad years ago, went and bought a new resister-no one at the dealer said anything about a recall. Guess I was ahead of my time.

All information was received from a previous message on this tractor board. The blower has been working once in a while. went to the dealership ans asked if there was any warranty as the truck is 2005, they replaced.Cheers, Murray

My son got a letter from Gm a couple days ago on his Chevy Cobalt, said a switch in the shifter is likely to go bad and if it does they will repl the shifter for the next 15 years or reimburse him for having it fixed before now. I've had GM cars since 1966 and never had a recall. The kids Cobalt and daughter's new Spark has been keeping the postal service busy delivering recalls.

The price on that resistor has almost tripled.

First time mine went about 6-7 years ago, the part from the dealer was only $25.

It died again this fall. Aftermarket part from Advance Auto was $65. Jeesh.

On a truck that books for $1300... Even the small problems are getting to be a huge portion of the truck's value.
