Ford 4500 hydraulic system

Hey folks.
I am completing an engine rebuild on my 4500 tlb.

This unit has a hydraulic reservoir located in the left frame member.

This unit has been idle for a long time and I am concerned that there are contaminants and water in the system and was wondering what the best way to handle this issue.

The frame has been repeatedly patched and there is no drain in evidence.

Any thoughts?

There should be a drain at the low point of the frame on the inside edge where you can't see it. You'll have to crawl under to get at it if I remember.

There is a crossover line underneath could pull it also. There is a plug in bottom. The one I have is that way. Mine has cracks in frame too. Need pull hoe and loader off to fix rite.
