Think I should sell?

I have a 1/8 scale model Ford 8N; never been played with. Judging by the prices that I see for 1/8 scale toy tractors on ebay, I am tempted to sell mine.

The 1/8 scale models that I saw on eBay were priced at $350 for an 8N; couple hundred more for some other models.

Dad always told me the value of something has 2 figures. If I am selling, it is easily worth twice what I am asking. If I am buying, it is worth maybe half what the seller is asking. I have saved a lot of money with this philosophy. And I still have most of my valuable stuff left.

When I was a kid a neighbor had a 8N toy and never played with it, I couldnt never understand that. At his funeral I talked to one of his sons and they still have the tractor and its never been played with either

When my grandson was little, I bought 1/8 tractors for him that matched my real ones.
Usually ebay, as I didn't like the quality of currently made ones.
New in Box condition. For every dozen auctions that got out of control, there would be one or two that stayed reasonable ($20-$40)
When they arrived, I would take them out and give them to him, and throw the box away.
(if I had it to do over, I would have given the boxes to someone that needed one)
Yes, when he was little, he would bang them together.
He sure had fun with them though. (me too, 'farming' with him)

I've got a slug of baseball cards from 58,9 &60, everybody else's mother tossed them, mine just complained profusely about them for about 40 yrs until I finally remembered to bring them home, was going to try e bay for years but I'm not too sure the old card collectors are spending much anymore.

Think I should sell?
