How to delete E mail

I keep getting all kinds of junk emails.I cant figure out how to delete/get rid of them. How? my 'mailbox' is full of JUNK. BTW,I never open anything that I dont know. Thanks,Steve

Maybe using Yahoo ?? Terrible for SPAM. You should be able to click on the little box and then 'mark it as spam'. It still comes in but goes into spam folder. I just delete the Spam folder contents, daily. Never open them. Also some of them have a 'unsubscribe' option at the bottom of their message. Sometimes it even works, you do have to open the message to do that.

Go to gmail "help" then to "read, organize, delete"

Just check the box then poke delete. You can also "select all" and poof, they will ALL be gone!

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER click on an "unsubscribe" link. What they REALLY do is to validate your email address as a valid one, and they will FILL your mailbox with SPAM!!! AND.....once your email address has been validated by a spammer, they will sell it to other spammers.

It is too bad that there is not a way to nip the spam at the bud so to speak. I suppose it has become the electronic equivalent to junk mail.
