After my windows XP became obsolete, I was going to buy a new computer. Well all the new one came with windows 8 and many told me I wouldn't like windows 8. A cheap solution was to buy a used dell computer off ebay for $175. It came with a new Windows 7. Home Premium 2gb Wifi HD Dell Latitude D620 Core Duo 1.6ghz Laptop PC. I then purchased a 2 year extended warranty. for $50. That way if I had issues, they would pay the freight and I will get at least my money back.
Computer has worked fine for 8 months. I use as a desk top replacement. It sits on desk all the time. Plugged in all the time. Use it for everything I would use a desk top computer for. Monitor two is wired to TV in living room for netflix. About 2 weeks ago after watching a movie on netflix I went back to the laptop, the LCD screen was black.
Now for the crazy part. If the charger isn't plugged in, the problem goes away. I have 2 dell laptops that use the same charger. We leave both laptops on charger, batteries are old. So I exchanged chargers. Problem still exists. If I plug charger in while I'm using computer, within a minute, #1 screen goes black, #2 screen works just fine. Laptop works great as long as the batteries stay up.
Have you ever heard of such a thing?
