Gibson Tractor Model A correct color

I recently purchased a Gibson Model A tractor for restoration and after reviewing all info on the websites, I am struggling with the correct color for the tractor. It appears the tractor was initially painted orange or rust color and all of the notes that are available do not list this as the correct color. When I take it apart, all of the areas are painted the same color. This is an early Model A and I am attempting to determine the correct color to paint it following repair. Any ideas?

the several that I have seen at shows are a bright red maybe black cherry or cherry red and a plain gray like machinery gray not charcoal grey. Happy looking!

had one a long time ago. if i rember right, it was gray, with red wheels. i had a plow on the frot, reg. plow for thegarden, spring tooth haro. a word of warning, do not pull that tractor to start it. it will pull the penion shaft through the ring gear.a great little tractor, except for the steering. wally

At gibsontractosDOTcom click the history button
and near the bottom of that webpage they talk
about paint colors a little bit.

Was it painted different thatn the rest of their models. There was a dealer cole here that sold some but all the ones i seen were a deep reddish brown with yellow letters i never realy looked at the model noe b ut he did have a small one.

I saw this model E at a show earlier this year. I assumed all Gibson models were same paint scheme but do not really know.
