missing trailer

Seems someone needed our 30ft gooseneck worse than we did.This happened in eastern Iowa (DeWitt area)just thought I would pass the word along .it happened right out of the driveway so keep an eye on your toys because as we found out someone else probably is too.
 
100yrd sometime from late evening till late morning.Noticed when i got back from deer hunting
 
Stinking thieves. I was just down locking up the combine and I see a PU truck stopped and the guy watching. He drove down the road, did a U-turn and came back. When I started down to the road he blasted out of there. Nothing worse than a thief.
 
Couple years ago my cousin had his 30 foot trailer stolen. When he unhooked it he left the 5th wheel on it. Came home from work a few days later the fifth wheel was gone. 2 weeks later came home the trailer was gone. Later that summer they caught the guy and he was the one that stole the fifth wheel as he had bought the rails and had it installed in his truck and he had the trailer. The best part was he was on an electronic teter from his earlier crimes. My cousin had welded his name on the trailer frame and on the fifth wheel
 
I have no problem neighbors and friends using my equipment, but sure would like to booby trap it some way. WE HAVE TO STOP them on the seen. Would like to have a pop up spike bar. Good idea about welding my name under it some place. Just bought a new trailer.

I had a 18' bumper pull stolen. The serial # is welded under the frame but it has been gone for five years.
 
quite a few trailers as well as skid steers and other equipment disappears in oilpatch. I put an Rhx systems satellite tracking device on my trailer, costs 30 bucks a month but I can go to their website and see where it is any time I want. Just hide transmitter on trailer.
 
I listen to the sheriff's report on local radio station. He regularly says trailers, 4 wheelers and side-by-side vehicles are hot on the thief's list. Keep them locked up, if you can.
 
That's a bummer. Sheeesh, don't know why people cannot just behave.

Hope you get it back... have heard of a few who do.
