Looks like a 25V to me due to the drawbar. The 27V was straight with the pivot ends bent up. The 25V has the ends bent up and bowed back as in your picture. The gag link was different between the two as well. The gag link is the stuff down by the bar that lifts the bar and also keeps the outer end up.

Due to my often and loudly stated aversion to pitman mowers, I will not swear to it, but I tend to agree it is a 25V. If it is complete and working you did OK at $100.

Oh did my last post say cycle, if so it was probebly spell check,
and partially my problem I don't reread it. Yes it's a dodge
pickup its my 1979 Powerwagon, in process of restoring,
driveit alot in the winter and keep the new Powerwagon and
srt10 in the shed. I only own dodge vehicles.

I have heard them called 25 or 225 they were used on old Farmall H and were bullet proof. Used to be a lot of them around.

I agree, #25V. They're good mowers. Need to have a good bushing in the frame/drawbar pivot to prevent tipping. They are all near 60 years old, so expect looseness in the moving parts. Adjustment of the lead is not as easy as some other brands and they aren't fun to use if not adjusted right. I have two that I use for trimming around fields, very simple to fix and use.
