I Love The Snow.....

Okay, well, ya, I lied about that, BUT, it DOES make things look pretty! What do you think?

A Lovely 1956 C6400 Chevy sitting on the edge of my tiny little hay field in a fresh snow!?!

Lets see you kinda, sorta, somewhat pretty snow pictures too!!

nice pictures. not lookin forward to the snow. why is it that in the summer, everything breaks down in the sun, no shade, and you have to climb up on it. but, in the winter, whatever breaks is always outside, underneath, so you have to lay in the snow and have stuff drip on you???

Well considering it got up to 80 degrees today; and the humidity was over 80%; I was thinking more about maybe turning on the A/C than I was thinking about it snowing.

Just keep sending the pretty pictures and I will sit here with the fan blowing on me while I enjoy them.

Not much more than the cost of the fuel and time to chop em down and haul them in!!

They aren't worth much up here... $500 a 1000 MAYBE.. That would be for nice, big ones, long logs too.. 16'6's don't scale well... On the contrary, Western Red Cedars, which is what our property mostly consists of, run about $1000 a 1000, and for poles to McFarland, they will give you about $1400 a 1000, and THEY come and get them!!

For example, to Columbia Cedar, on of the last loads I helped get over there, tagged $1000 a 1000, and it scaled over 5000 feet!

Great pictures Bryce, I always enjoy your posts and seeing what new piece of equipment you bring home week to week. I believe that you have great parents. Be thankful for them.

Well thank you very much!!

I sure like pictures.. They remind me that life is short, and that every moment should be cherished, and I think that pictures really do help do just that!

As you guys can probably see, in the second picture, you can look past the truck and at the end of the meadow is where the property line is between ours and grannys, and that is where the very well organized "junk yard" is... You can see some stuff, the easiest things to see, for me, are the JD 594 Rake and McCormick Rake sitting right next to each other...

I was thinkin so myself...

Granny is always telling my how beautiful the snow is.. Well, I saw the light today, but I think that is probably because of my pretty little Chebby out there... :)

My wife always says the same thing. We've got a whole forest of Norway Spruce. Looks cute all frosted like that.

When you get to our age you start look'n at it more like: I've got to get the plow truck through another year, 2200 foot lane. Another $700 fuel oil bill is coming and how much snow do I have to push the wood cart through to get a load from the wood shed to the house.

I'm young still, turned 58 Wednesday. Wait and see how you like it in 40 years.

Nice pics. Here's 3 of a Tobacco barn--long forgotten in the woods. It's not on my property. I wish it was. I'd love to turn it into a small cabin.
