hello, you have helped me in the past,[ delete trash]. I did what you suggested and deleted about 1400 or so spam/trash.. a new question?, the trash folder is not accumulating any of the deleted spam like it did before did I do something to cause this.. thank you so much

Do you mean the recycle bin? If you right click on it will have settings for the selected location(Recycle Bin). You can set the amount of the bin (Custom Size). You can also select don't move files to the bin but remove files immediately when deleted. May be you have the latter option selected?

I have windows 8.1 the trash folder was way up to maybe 1500.from deleting the spam folder. i deleted the trash emails now see nothing/zero when I open the trash folder. what happened

many thanks, mr guido. apparently you are right , I see that I have checked the remove the files now, don't go to trash folder. I guess it is alright to do it this ways. have a good nite

Download "CCleaner". Stands for either computer cleaner or CRAP cleaner. It will clean all the old files, all the coolies, all the garbage the computer keeps that it doesn't need to. You can have it do your email trash too. Run and you will need to re-enter your pass words, but the machine will run a lot faster. Download Malwarebytes anti-malware and run that too. Made my wifes laptop run like new once we got rid of the 600 and something issues it found!

thanks I have several virus etc, protection on my pc. maybe add ccleaner
