Central Texas, High temp yesterday was in the 80s, suppose to be in the 30s today. What kind of extremes and where do you live?

South central MO this morning, sleet, 21 degrees now with a high of 29 today. Wasn't it yesterday that it was 70?

Saturday it was 65 when we took kids out to shoot. My wife came in when the cold front blew in and the temperature had dropped 15 degrees. I came in an hour later, and it was down to 30. Sunday, we never got above 15, and this morning it is below 0.

Saturday afternoon we were 57. Yesterday (Sunday) afternoon we were 16. I keep track of the temps of everywhere I have been in the world. Sastamalla Finland's temp varies by only one or two degrees between day and night, day after day.

Oops, made a liar out of myself! Sastamalla's temp this afternoon,(7:51 AM) for us, is 27. Will be 36 tomorrow PM.

The cold must be going north of us this time.
They are forecasting mid 70's for us all week.

And don't any of you snowbirds get any ideas of moving down here either. LOL.

One thing the cold up north has done is push the ducks down.
Went fishing this past weekend and the marsh is full of ducks; and even some duck hunters.

53 yesterday morning here in Michigan,21 this morning. Windy, just not nice out there at all.

-13 right now, add the wind chill it feels like -29, probably sounds extreme to some but it's pretty much the norm here every winter.

It is extreme here in Sask. but only on the low side. Wind chill factors in the -40F range yesterday. Not much better today. That is below normal even for us.

A week ago today, it was 70 deg F, I could hunt whitetail deer in a t-shirt. I hauled 10 wheel barrow loads of compost to my upper garden and tilled it in before Wednesday, at which time there was a Nor'easter on the horizon, by Thursday, early morning, 5am there was a foot of snow here, more elsewhere. Made for a perfect morning to hunt, took a small 4pt buck, 150lbs. It stayed cool, but has progressively warmed up, most of the snow has melted by this morning. Week prior, or around 11/15, following, in the 20's at night, stayed in the low 30's. The ground was frosted a few inches, not anymore.

I think, as of late, and of course it does change often, the cold won't set in and or stay until later in December. It's been like that the last few years. I tend to remember patterns, this year the ground did not get dry until September and only lasted until early October before the rains came back, was good log towing for a month. Year before the same thing happened, but it was dry in August to October.

Either way, you can't depend on the weather to cooperate, I'd have rather it stayed colder, frost up the ground first.

We've been getting mainly in the 30's at night, and then back into the upper 60's to lower 70's during the day, here in NC.

What's "OT" about the weather? The thermometer is the first thing I look at in the morning followed by the NOAA weather forecast.

69 degrees in Maryland. Was in the 20's a couple days ago and had fire going full tilt. Waiting for the motorcycle delivery guy. gonna take advantage of the day. Lets see..ride harley or rake leaves... yup ride.

Last freezing go-around, we were hitting 55° during the day, down to 18° at night. Back to the 18 stuff now, but not as warm during the day.

I have a cousin who lives in Fond du Lac, SK which is just a stone's throw from the Northwest Territories. Whenever I think it's cold here in Kansas I check the weather where she's at and then it doesn't feel so bad!

Eastern Nebraska. Record highs in the mid 70's on Saturday, 7 degrees yesterday morning.

Northern Indiana was 56 degrees by me yesterday, wore a T-shirt, no jacket into darkness. Today low 20's. Its a bit cool out today, but not cold. Cold is coming.
