Calling jm.. Kubota question

Have a question on my 5740. I don't know if I've seen one around that has 2500 hours like mine does. This is our 5th Kubota utility and they have been great through the years. Seen ones with more hours than this and if so they're ok? Just wondering if I should be trading in soon before any big issues show up. This is a great tractor, I'd probably just find another with lower hours. We bought this one brand new. Thanks

2500 hours is not many hours for the newer style tractors. The electric tach/hour meter make you put hours on faster than the older tractors with mechanical tachometers.

The motor on a Kubota can easily run 10,000 hours. There is a mower fellow that has some Kubota compacts in Dubuque. Several of his tractors have over 10,000 hours on them with few repairs.

with 2500 hrs. that machine is hardly worn in, thats if everthing is looked after, as i have seen stuff with real low hrs. but you dont want it! as said 10,000 no problem. my nieghbour has many different models and sizes in his business plus skid steers and kobota looks to me like its a well made unit. i place the skid steers over the other brands.

I take care of it really well and it's inside every night. I might just keep it for awhile longer. This one is on pretty hard loader duty, hope the loader and front end hold up!

I can say this as a dealer the tractor sells more or I can give you more for it with the 2500 hours. Lots of folks kinda use that as a bench mark. For you to use really not any problems , first thing that shows up on heavy loader use is the clutch. Old M series around 1500 to 2000 hrs these new 40 series longer life. M series are really coming on strong. For years KUBOTAs bread and butter was the B series then the L series but now 64% of sales are M series or larger tractors.

As a hydrostatic, it can handle the years of loader work too? I mean the constant back and forth. I've run a one yard bucket from day one so it gets some use. Think I changed the battery and the seals in the front axle knuckle and that's it. Great tractor. Really like my 125 too, couldn't be happier
