My CraigsList deal of the week

I've been watching for a set of tire chains to fit my 14.9 x 28's.
I found a very nice set of Duo-Link chains, used one winter.
Virtually no wear and only 12 miles away. $115 for the pair.
I didn't even try to haggle on price! LOL

Anyone else get a good deal recently?

No, but you find set of 16.9 X 24's for that,
snatch them up for me. There is a restored Allis on
the bulletin board in Dayton though. 1949 C, with
cultivator and sickle bar. A bit pricey I thought
at 2600.

Nice find!

I bought this shop lift on craigslist for 75 bucks.
New one is 1200. Works like a champ.

I guess people weren't watching close at that auction!
That's a steal. I don't know how much that style/size
costs, but the ones I just got are $442 + shipping from
tractor tire chains dot com.

The auctioneer's crew should have had more time to prepare. There was just plain junk on the pallet other than the chains, and the auction was moving very fast at that point. There were many other sets of new chains sorted out and they were selling for hundreds per set. I happend to luck out.

I went to a dealership closeout sale this weekend. The auctioneer and his prep really does make the differance. The deals are at the sales where the auctioneer hasnt prepped or prepped well. At a good sale all items of value are pulled out and sold in an orderly manner before it gets too late in the day. There is another dealership sale coming up that they are stretching out for 3 days! It was a small time old dealership. Who wants to stand outside for 3 days straight the week before christmas? Plus, many guys are out of vacation days by that time in the year...I predict some real bargins...
