I recently had a pair of Factory dual rear wheels off of a 1970 J.D. 4020 Stolen and do not know how much to tell the insurance co. that they were worth, Can anyone tell me the value?

I can't imagine my dealer pricing tires. I would call my tire store. The value would have a huge range, depending on the amount of tread, plus mounting. I would say roughly $600 - $2500. You would probably have to go with replacement cost. Then you put the new ones on the tractor and the ones on the tractor become the duals.

The ins company will depreciate the item, then deduct
the deductable. That's how the game is played......

Hi I would call a wreckers, and see what used
is worth then start a bit higher. Then
hopefully you come out the deal with the used
set, and not to much worse off by the time the
insurance, is done adjusting You!. it may even
be better to just buy them and not bother,
depending how much they will adjust your policy
after because of the claim. in reality the real
money might only cost $500 when they paid and
you paid them back.

We just got done with storm damage on the hog
barns. worked for nothing, supplied all the
lumber and only got kinda paid for 4 out of 5
new covers. so out about $10.000 in the end.
Beware you won't make money and get new
wheels and tires, trust me!
Regards Robert

If they were axle mount, might want to get a JD dealer quote also. They do not come cheap.
