middle busters

A thread earlier brings back memories of my youth.
Daddy farmed with middle busters all his life.
I didn't know there was another way until I started reading of methods from other areas of the Nation.
Here in the dry land the rows captured and saved the winter rains and kept the wind from blowing the ground away.
I am building a model for my grandson.

Here's a life size green one . It has the planting attachment also . 1956 model 854 on a 1960 530 . You should know what the cultivator is for !?! Model 82 built 1957-1960 . Many call them " GO - DIG's " but JD called it a " listed crop cultivator " . Getting back to your post - Nice model !!!!!!!!!! I like models myself . Dave

That's nice work Ray. I spent two December's building scale barns for my daughters. Cut all the beams by hand for the "rough sawn" effect. Tried to use as much hobby shop wood as would work to save time. I know how hard that sort of thing is to do right.
