JOHN DEERE OLD PLATE WEIGHTS

Did Deere make plate weights for old 4020's, with 30" wheels. I need a set with the center hole measuring 8 1/2" across. They must have the same centers as the 140#lb weights, part#(A34004R), which were for 34" & 38" wheels. The newer weights for 30" wheels have a 9 1/2" hole in the center, part#(R61727).

Will the R34810 wheel weights match to the
A3404R weights as far as bolt holes and centers?

I can only think that a 4020, on 30" rubber, would have to be a wheatland style tractor. I would think that rear wheel weights would be available for those also.

Mule, like I said yesterday, new 3010S on 16.9-30s and 4010S on 18.4-30s we used the same weights as on the 34-38s and same style-fit wt.that Deere used from 1952 on.As far as part nos.???? because Deere modified-changed different things on the wts.over the yrs,but still all fit each other.Unless you have a diff.wheel casting then we had they will fit,TIGHT but work.

Thank you Massey. I going to try to find some 3010S or 4010S and check the measurements across the center. Needs to measure 8 1/2" inside and around 9 1/2" on outside of the center hole lip to work with my current A3404R weights.

I thought you were trying to SAVE money here. Even if what you are looking for exists, you're going to have to drive great distances and pay exorbitant prices to get a pair of weights "right now."

There are plenty of other ways to skin this cat, and spend very little to nothing on the solution.

Wow, it's been one of those days Massey. Too many numbers. OK understand these weights will fit 4010's and 3010's, but my challenge is that we have 2 sets of weights which are for 34" or 38" wheels. They will fit on our 30" wheels, but I need a spacer to get them out beyond the lug nuts. Thus I need 1 set of weights that measure around 20" to 21" out side to put on first. Then I can use weights I currently own. I know the bolt holes on these will match up. The problem is my larger weights, part# A3404R, which is a common weight, has a center hole measuring just 8 1/2" between the lips. It these centers don't match the weights will not lay flat against each other.

What are you calling LUG NUTS?The rim bevel clamp bolts? If you are, what is wrong with going against them?If that is your problem then get longer bolts and cut water pipe the right length over the bolts to shim the weights out.Is your rear wheels-axle fully adjustable like on a row crop tractor?? Dumb question,we are talking a tractor for the American market???

(quoted from post at 15:59:49 11/13/14) . It these centers don't match the weights will not lay flat against each other.

If you're trying to install more than one A3404R weight per side each next weight must be rotated 180 degrees to fit correctly. These weights have a timing(index) mark on the outer edge.
