what is a cab worth

I have an allis chalmers 200 with a cab on it. I want to sell the cab and buy fenders. Just wondering how much it's worth. Not sure of the brand right off hand. It has a working heater and a radio with speakers but they don't work. All the windows open and it has a door on both sides.

Here in SE Iowa they aren't worth much.

Not much demand.

You may be able to find someone that would give a little for it.

Most are doing the same as you on those cabs without air. All makes and models.

Taking them off and looking for fenders.

Hows the glass and hows the interior foam? I once
got an old Year-around cab for free. I had to make
mounts to fit the 706 I was putting it on, replace
all but one piece of glass, repaint and install all
new interior foam. I had well over a thousand
dollars sticking in my "free" cab.

We did the same for our 706 cab,but didn't have to replace windows. We did pull the windows and put new seals around them, repainted the cab, added heater and fan.Still didn't reach your figure of $1000.00.Lucky I guess. Cab cost us $250.00 and had to drive to N Dakota to get it.Nice to get out of the weather up here.

whats a cab worth ?
priceless if you ask me when the cows need fed and
it 30 below and blowing.
I have bought them for $150 to $500.

I don't k now what they're selling for, but I sure would like to find one for a 255 Massey. I'm getting to the point where the dust when making hay really bothers my all ready bad lungs. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. Sorry for hijacking your thread. Keith

If you're feeding critters, working in the late fall
or early spring, or doing anything in chilly or wet
weather, they are priceless. Sometimes noisy or
hot, but there is no way I'd trade one for a fender
tractor....
