vickers hy pumps

I have a MF 711 skid steer loader which have 2 axel piston rotating cylinder block type pumps in a closed loop with a fixed motor. when I go up a incline one pump quiets working while the other one works fine, but if I back up both work fine both pumps are supplied from the same source of hy oil Any ideas out there to my problem???

I would suspect that you have a charge check/relief valve hanging up in the bore or simply failed completely. Either case would allows the loop oil on the high side to drain into the charge gallery instead of building pressure. There are four of these valves, one for each side of both loops. You can test them by swapping them around and see if the problem moves to the other side and/or other direction.

I checked the pump and there is only 1 relief valve and 1 popet valve on this pump
