I just replaced my work lights with two LED units, PRO LITE Electronix units, RTL10S and a RTL30 which I got from MSC. To me they are a big improvement over the regular bulbs.

Led. They don't burn out from vibration And are usually behind a plastic lens so nothing is broken easily. The point about wanting heat in the winter is a good one too. Any chance you could use a regular trouble light and use LED bulb in the summer and a rough service 100 watt bulb if you want some heat from it. I just bought some 100 watt equivalent LED bulb and I like it so far.

It's time to cut the cord! LED rechargeable. Same brightness. No burnt hands. No cords. With LEDs there isn't a problem with battery life.

The problem with cordless (anything, drill/lights) is - finding them when you need them. joe, the absentminded

Awww yes, yes, you are so right. There always a flaw in my logic somewhere. :) Thanks for pointing it out as I was just thinking it might be time to get one myself. Guess I will not rush to replace my old corded one.
