Thanks a lot for this post. Brought back some strong memories of my folks. Both would still be on the farm if they were able, but both are now looking down on the rest of us tending the land. Nice to see an old Allis still working, too.

Wow! At 56 I can pretty well tell this body wont go to 94. If more people had his outlook America would be back at #1

Hi Thats a cool story, thanks for posting. I got a customer who's a youngster compared to this guy. He hit 86 this year, Had an interesting chat with this guy the other day, while I was there working on his tractor. His hired man died last year that was a few years younger!.
Everybody figured those 2 were best friends. He told me bad language and all, that would make a sailor blush, what a thieving, leaching toerag the guy was in reality and he had enough of him anyway!.
sadly i think it's time my guy quit, he's at that point he's getting un safe.
He out straight told me if I heard he quit, get a new suit quick as i had his funeral to attend. I guess that means he ain't retiring unless he dies!
Regards Robert

Wow! What a story. Thank you so much for posting it and I'm so glad I took the time to read it. The pix are just great! What a legacy to the rest of us. My dad drove a tractor the last day he did anything at the age of 93 years and 9 months. (And he was born in Missouri, also.)
