French for My Captain.
Meet my friend Steve and his family.
Commander USNR.
We went to the airport early this morning to meet him as he came home from a deployment to
Afganistan.
I don't know what the Navy is doing over there as I heard there wasn't much water there.
He was there as part of a multinational NATO force. Not much fun there. Cooped up on a coumpound doing shift work for 6 months.
He was my realtor when I bought my house and I've since remodeled both his kitchen and bathroom.
He's become my friend.
Whenever I worked at their house I would greet him with a little salute and say Good Morning Mon Capitaine.
He'd always salute me back.
Just a little hero's welcome here, for a nice man, a good father and husband and the type of officer you would hope is out there protecting us all here at home.
