John deere 9600 error codes

I have been having 2 error codes come up on the display on my 1996 9600 combine. They are 44E and 47E. I've not called Deere yet and best I can tell online is 44E is a speed sensor and not real sure on 47E. Can anyone tell me what they mean and what I need to do to fix it.

44 is auxiliary speed input error and 47 is engine derate torque curve selected. check your engine speed sensor on the front timing cover. also check the wiring harness going to the inj. pump for a spot rubbed through and grounding

There is a speed sensor in the injection pump also. When the cam bearings wear the notched sensor wheel will rub the sensor and cause the 44 code too.
