SPIDER ASSY what is it

Anyone know what a SPIDER ASSY is and what it's used for, Case #198803A1 replaced by Case #299385A1. This is all I could find out except they wanted over $200. each I think.

Are they still used in farming if so do they use more than one at a time or a set of?

I'm cleaning out my tractor trailer I have 4 of them.

Might want to post this on the CASE forum, those folks speak Case. The term "spider" can and has been used to describe many things over the years. Without a photo it is difficult to tell. When I was growing up, the differential gears in the rear end of a car or truck were referred to as "spider gears".

Used on early riser 955 trailing planter.

as stated for a 955. appears to be sprocket that mounts to the drive wheel hub. bill
