Case 311b hydraulic help

I am a "new" owner of a 1959 Case 311b tractor with loader. I have successfully been using it for several months hauling sand, trees, brush, etc. However, it sat for a couple months and the last time I took it out, the hydraulics were not working. I can hear the pump, but neither bucket moves nor the 3 point hitch. It grunts and the engine boggs down a bit, but nothing moves.
Note that my kids were playing around/on the tractor and am working if they shut something off. I checked the oil level off with and have the PTO off and it was at the right level. What else do I check (plugged filter, bypass, etc.)?

Does this tractor have a diverter valve in the hydraulic line to the 3pt hitch? (small shiney spool with a knob on it, usially bolted below gas tank on RH side. Maybe the kids pushed the spool into the 3pt mode. Also check the quick couplers, to make sure they are coupled properly, and not just setting there looking connected. The kids could have gotten one apart and couldn't get it back together. There is a cold weather hyd pump disconnect, but you said that you could hear the pump labor.

It does have a diverter valve. I have tried it in both positions (forward for bucket, back for 3 pt) and nothing moves. I also followed the hydraulic lines along to check for leaks, and didn't see any leaks or quick couplers disconnected.
I am wondering if I have a plugged line or if the hydraulic oil got diverted somewhere else like to PTO?
Is there an easy way to test pressure on the hydraulic lines?

A common cause of hyd oil from the torque tub where pump is located and migrating the rearend is a leaky 3pt piston seal, which is located under the seat. Under the seat is a big hex plug on LH side. That is the dipstick/fill for the rearend. If oil level is high the seal could be the problem. To check the hyd level look under the dash on the range shift cover. square plug and breather cap, front corner, fill and dipstick. If hyd is low add good tranny/hyd fluid to bring it up to full line, and try it again.
Scroll down and join us on the CASE board. Lots of great guys there who will guide you through any problems you may encounter With your 311B. A lot of us are former dealers and mechanics who know your tractor model well.

Thanks for the help. I will take a look this weekend and post any updates.
Please guide me to the Case board as I am interested in joining. I do not see it on the left side or bottom of the page.
