Wooley Worms

BIG RUH

During my walk this morning, I saw at least 15- 20 wooley worms and no two were the same color. Color ranged from light tan all the way to entirely black. Some had just a shade of black to all black with different variations of black. Guess the wooley worms are taking lessons from the weather guessers. They just predict every thing and then say this is what we predicted after it happens.

Had one in my garage today.
I figure if they're already looking for shelter we're in trouble!

They have been black here. Went to town Friday (14 mile drive) I could not beleive how many were crossing the hiway all the way there. everyone of them were black.

I get tickled at you guys trying to predict the winter with a wooly worm.

I thought the YT approved method was slicing a persimmon seed to see if there is a spoon, knife, or fork inside. LOL.

The last week I've noticed many of the wooley worms crossing the oil roads around here in Illinois. I have been reading other posts from other YT'ers and see that some of you have gotten the first frost already. That's where my interest are focusing in on at this time.

Can't say as I've seen any around here this summer. Another insect we came up awfully short on this year. Nasty winter may be the cause.

Been seeing the brown and black striped guys crossing the roads by me on the Michigan border for a couple of weeks now. I don't like it and don't want to admit it, but winter is coming. They don't know or care a thing about global warming, global cooling, or politics. When they go on the move, winter is coming.

"When they go on the move, winter is coming."

And regardless of what the weather guessers say, there ain't
a durn thing any of us can do about it except put stuff away!
