Cornwell tools anyone

Whats your opinion??? Not real plentiful in my area. But I like them and have been around them for years. Like any thing they seem to have good and bad.
 
Opinion (with several) they are as good as any in quality and service. Not as comfy in the hand as Snap-On, but as strong. Jim
 
I had a 1/4 in. ratchet that was broke, I sent it in, they sent me a new one @ no charge.
Best I remember, I e mailed for instructions.
 
Seems like Cornwell doesn't support their dealers or protect their territories.. There's been several around me , but they don't seem to last long.. Their tools are as good as the major brands.. There is of course a lot of transient mechanics that cause the tool guys to pull out their hair looking for them..
 
There is a Cornwell dealer in our area, been here for years. He used to stop at the dealership where I worked. All the techs seemed to think highly of the tools, I only bought a few specialty tools from him.
 
Not a bad product, but the small amount of distributors makes it hard to get service if you move, or the dealer quits. The company is privately owned, and the owner seems comfortable with the 600 or so distributors he has. They re-brand a lot of their products, but so do the other brands, including Snap-on, and more than you think. Cornwell's pricing seems a bit better than the others.
 
I've got an eclectic mix of every brand imaginable. That said, I've got quite a few Cornwell items and they have all stood the test of time and use just as well as any of my other name brand tools.
 
I worked with alot of guys that had them.Never heard any complaints.Price was better then on Mac,snap-on,proto etc.

I probably should not respond because I never heard of them until I saw a show about it on Gears. Seems to be a truck service of quality USA tools like a Snap-On dealer. Weird thing is I go to sales evry Fri. and have never seen any of their wrenches. Pleny of Matco and Mac and Snap-on but never any Cornwell.
 
You would be surprised at how many name brand tools are made by Cornwell.
