Case DC3 Serial Number

Hey guys
Iam new to the forum so please bear with me as i try to figure it out haha. I am creating this post in relation to a question for a Case DC serial number. I have recently bought a Case DC3 and I'm trying to figure out what year it is. On the serial tag of the tractor the number is DC 8023675. After looking the numbers up on the internet and the books the last year is 1953 with 570001. I was wondering if mine was one of the last ones built or if someone has replaced the serial tag at one time and forgot some of the numbers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the help guys.

Look on the right side of the block where it bolts to the transmission case; the number should be stamped there. If it's not there, does the tractor have Eagle Hitch or foot clutch?

Many of the late DC's have serial numbers starting with 80. I
have one too. Your's is a 1953

Yes that is correct. subtract 4 from the first digits...that is , 57-4=53 (1953)
also as the other fella said, it is stamped on the casting on the side as well as on the serial number plate.

Thanks guys. I will have to look at the block and see what the story is there. As for your question Tom it has both Eagle Hitch and a hand clutch, as well as it has SCV's on it. I greatly appreciate the help guys thanks. I will most like be back on here with more questions haha.

Its a hydraulic outlet to run lift cylinders on implements. Sorry I call it them SCV's because thats what they are called today. It stands for Select Control Valve.
