Pretty fun I'd say, but I wonder what the cost of bullets was ! Wish I'd seen this earlier because I just had the tree guy here to look at reclaiming my view. I'll e-Mail it to him. HPH
 
I remember going hunting with Dad one year and finding the perfect Christmas tree. A few shots at the base with Dad's 12ga and it was going home with us.

In high school my auto shop teacher was a Korean War vet. He used to tell stories about taking the .50 Browning and picking out trees on the other side of the valley from then to cut down. He said they used tracers to guide them in to the tree, and then easily took it down.
 
about 35-40 years ago we were practicing with a 22 handgun and the targets became small saplings and we were able to cut them down pretty easily.
 
LOL!!!!

About 3 years ago I dropped a large cherry and the crotch hung up on a hemlock about 8 inches in diameter. The way the hemlock was sprung over there was no safe way the cut it with the overhanging cherry branch and the cherry was jammed up against the butt and I couldn't move the thing in any direction with the 1955. Took my wife, myself and my grandson 54 shots with a 30/06 and two .44 mag rifles to cut the hemlock in two. Sure was fun!
