It looks all wrong to be a common ford. Exhaust is on the wrong side for the N series plus thew odd way it comes across the top of the engine. Also the fact you can not see a radiator cap again say it is not an N series. Could be a 600/601 series. But the only way you will know for sure is find the model and serial number. If it is a ford it will be behind the starter just above 2 bolt holes and sort of under the battery

Ya I know that but look at the picture again the exhaust crosses over the top of the engine then down. On the N series the exhaust comes off the left side of the engine then down I even just double checked that on my 8N before I typed this.
Go back and look better at that picture

Early 50"s TO20 or TO30.

Look at tractor data.com pictures are idnetical of the TO30 with the exhaust down the R/H side. Also shows where the data plate should be located.

JD, the air cleaner on a 20 has a vertical drop before turning into the carb. The 30 has a 45 degree drop before making the turn. His air cleaner is a TO20 version. (As mentioned by other poster, the 30 would have an exterior oil filter.

All of the above being said, you never know when someone has "blended" two or more models together - very easy to do with the Fergusons.

How do you define the left or right side of a tractor? I'd like to see a picture of an N series Ford that has the exhaust on the left.

The tractor pictured here is definitely a Ferguson, the exhaust does not cross over the top of the engine.

Best look better the exhaust does in fact look like it comes over the top but hey I'll not argue this because doing so is just plan stupid

I'm not looking to argue either but if one presents a statement as fact, one should be certain that they are right, and you my friend, are wrong.
