building a stronger motor for a mighty m

New User
so here is where my story starts i have an m that
has a worn 248 in it and i was at the tractor pull
and the worst thing happened to me she powered
out!!! the track we pull on has some lime and
other stuff in it so the tractors stick very well
i had the tires perfect and the weights where they
needed to be but the motor ran out of power three
feet from first! i want to get a c281 block or a
super m block and put a set of Sleeve & Piston Kit
Part Number PK164 in them to give me that 281 what
i want to do is raise the compression in the motor
to close to 7/1 and my questin is this. what is
the dome displacment on these pistons? and what
dome displacement would the m&w add-power pistons
give me? i have a 8060 head for my new motor that
i plan on building soon. does any one have a motor
they built and dynowed if so let me know what you
got and what you got out of it thanks and have fun
with it!

have your block bored to use the PK168 (450 kit) look for a new 450 cam, petronix ign, and a stiener intake/exhaust manifold. new 450lp head, would get you to your 75hp goal, it be around 65-68hp with your 8060. good low gear puller.

Nick I was going to post this earlier today but the site's filter did not like something in the post. It looks like you have found some GOOD answers here already.

Kim asked me to post my original post to see if it will work now. She had and issue with the filter program.

"Nick there is a tractor pulling forum. I would bet that there are a few guys down there that can answer your question. Also go to the brand forum that you have, that will get good knowledge from guys that know that brand well. "

So Nick good luck enjoying your older tractor.
