John Deere 60 power trol/rockshaft problem

I have a 60 with a 3 point on the rockshafts. The issue I'm having is that the rockshafts keep falling when it is raised. I have already replaced the pistion oring and washer and have taken the check valves apart and cleaned them. I bought the tractor a year ago and it worked fine then but it started dropping this year while i was using the brush mower. Let me know what everyone thinks and where I should go next. Thanks for the help.

Gotta be leaking somewhere. Had my '60' since 1971 and have changed the powertrol oil once (10-30). It will hold up my (heavy) homebuilt rear blade for days. Try the JD Forum.

Are You having to add fluid. Are You using the correct oil. Should be the same as You use in the engine; NOT Hydraulic fluid!!! Although some people use it.

25 years ago I went see a 620 at a dealer. Very nice looking but hydraulics were not working the salesperson thought the arms were stuck. He got a breaker bar & almost lifted the front off the ground. I went over & with one hand lifted the arms. He didn't realize they were already down. Then he checked the fluid level. It didn't measure on the stick so he went for a 5 gallon pail. Poured almost all of it in when I told him the Power Troll only held about 12 quarts. The look on his face is still in my memory. He took his hat off wiped of the sweat, & said I guess there an internal split in the S.O.B. They tore it apart, & that's what it was. Price went from $2800 to $5000 fixed when 620's were around $3000 for a descent looking machine. At that moment on the phone I said good luck; but I am sorry I cant justify the money. I didn't trust them fixing it; when they couldn't even diagnose it without my help!

If no one else can help try "MR. THINKER" of "Green Magazine". He's a marvel of these things!!!

It"s not using oil at all, its staying up to the right level but I do have 20w hydraulic oil in there not engine oil.

Next step is to remove the rockshaft housing and replace the rockshaft cyl. gasket. I'd also reseal the pto pump while in there.
