OT whats that squeak?

My 05 Silverado had developed a squeak in the right front. Only heard it with the windows open, started only when I DID NOT have my foot on the brake. It was a 'circular' sound, as it sounded only part time. I had used my IR temperature gauge after driving several miles, and non of the four points was 'hot'. Yesterday it got quite a bit worse-noisy with the foot on the brake or not! This afternoon I pulled the wheel and caliper-still squeaking! Pulled the brake pads, sure enough, the inner one had a sand pebble smack in the middle of it! What a noise sand can make!

Similar noise situation however it did turn out to be a seized caliper.

Similar situation but the noise turned out to be
the disc brake splash shield rubbing on the disc.

NOISE? WHAT NOISE? I am so hard hearing , that I have to wait for something to break, so I'll know what the wife was talking about. She hears a mouse pulling on his socks! I never turn on a radio in my vehicles, whats the use?

Same thing on 2010 Silverado; left front, long gravel driveway, new Michelin tires with big lugs that pick up and toss rocks, squeal from just the correct size 1/2" rock that got picked up and dropped into top of the caliper. Finally pried it out.

OT whats that squeak?
