What type of hydraulic fuild do I use

I have been working on this old 1971 I.H skid steer loader which is hydrostatic driven. Question what type of hydraulic fuild on todays market would be good to use in it. Yes I still have alot of the old Hydraulic fuild still in the skid steer loader and all my filters are clean. I am replace hydraulic hoses to the bucket and I might need to fill the fuid up. Thanks Brent

Go to a dealer and get a bucket of transfluid, the parts guy can help you, get low viscosity if it is too be used in the winter. Do not buy 10w 40 motor oil, that is too thick for a hydralic system.

TSC Premium trans-hyd fluid meets the JD A,B, and C specs (HyTran) plus about everything else. It is for todays systems with wet brakes, hydros and all today's whistles and bells. May be more accessible than a JD dealer.
