had a visiter outside our bed room window. What do you folks think he weighs? chuck
had one like that trying to climb [b:34203a1484]into[/b:34203a1484] my bedroom trough the wide open window last years spring.(quoted from post at 20:42:18 08/21/14) Every time the boys and I go on a Boy Scout camp-out, whatever it is outside the tent at 2:00 sounds about that big, even if it's just a possum ...
(quoted from post at 18:56:59 08/22/14) That bear is 200, 250 at most. Two ways to tell just how big a bear your looking at, one is to look at the ears, big looking ears = small bear, small ears big head =big bear. Their heads grow with the body but the ears not so much. The other clue is how far is the belly off the ground a 400 pound bears belly would a lot closer to the ground. I've hunted bear and have one in the Michigan record book, was 383# field dressed, live weight was probably 440 or so.
