removing cylindar liners from 350 dozer

On this 350 with water in the oil, I have the pistons out and I need to remove the cylinder liners, I tried with a bottle jack and a rod like suggested but they did not move. Does the liner protrude thru the block about an inch or 2? And what is the wall thickness? Thanks a lot. I will be getting a mechanic to look at it soon.

One way to remove old liners is to weld three beads inside them, from top to bottom, when it cools, the liners shrink and can be lifted out with ease.

A rod may not be putting enough pressure on liner.
Make a plate that will make a push on a bigger area.

You need a puller like this using a puck machined to fit the sleeve bore and enough clearance to clear the block bore. Use 3/4" all thread.

Most auto machine shops have a hydraulic press that can press out the old sleeves and install the new sleeves. Hal

Doing an in frame will miss the balancer shaft bearings and the rear main seal.
You can do them now or tear it down again to do them later .
