Anyone get it? If you don't, SIGN UP!!

I just got an e-mail this morning, I am going to be on the cover of the October Issue!!!

A friend of mine wrote a very good article about me, and FC bought it! They told him that I would for sure be in Octobers issue, and that I was going to be on the cover!!

TOO COOL!!! I AM STOKED!!!

Mom said to ask you guys a special request though, IF any of you guys that get the magazine would be willing to part with it, we would love to get as many as we could for family, friends, etc... Bryce

Congratulations! I would think the publisher should give you a few copies but that doesn't always happen. I do get the mag. I'll look for you. Jim

check with the publisher too. many times they will give you a couple copies. I was in their 20th aniv copy in the centerfold.

and they sent me a total of 3 copies. 1 i had normally in my subscription, 2 extra

Congrats! But also be kinda careful....several years ago, back in my stock car racing days, I had an article about my racing published in a national magazine.

I knew in advance it was coming out and also I subscribed to that magazine at the time, but....got a phone call one day from a company that said "congratulations on your upcoming article!" and then they went on to offer me a "memento" which was my magazine article mounted on a wall-hanging "display" so I would be able to show it off and have it forever. Naturally, I said "sure, I'll buy one!".

What I got was ok, but way overpriced...don't remember now but $300+.....the magazine article was photocopied and put behind plexiglass on a varnished peice of wood(two pieces actually in my case since it was a long article)and a small brass plaque with my name and the name/month of the magazine at the bottom of one of the boards.

In looking back, I could have made the same thing myself for less than $50.00....

Congrats!! I was in the magazine and on the front cover last year about my Minnesota barge wagons. What a fun time!! I have met many people across the country from that article. Kudos and enjoy!!
