I've done it all now

We finally went all the way down to Gadsden Alabama and started the 127 Yard Sale at the far south end. We live less than 100 miles from the north end,so we've seen it all. They're gonna have to extend it farther up here in to Michigan or something to give me something new.
Stopped in Friday and spent some time with Lee Little. Way too generous as always. That Yoder grease seems to work wonders by the way Lee. Kim has been using it on her leg. No more getting up and soaking in the tub so she can sleep.

Is that an IH labeled (its red) small scale round baler behind that JD garden tractor ? 3rd photo down, that would be ideal for grass mulching large gardens, spot the bales where they need to be, I do it with a sweeper, but there's more to it, with handling the dry cut grass, corn grows nice in it, only corn I will get this year is near the piles.

That would be highly useful for an larger scale organic gardener with enough grass land !!!! like here LOL !!!

LOL, funny, looks like baler, but with the hoses, I would think thats what it is, a commercial size one.

Glad to hear it worked Randy. Anyone that would suffer the entire length of the 127 yard sale deserves something.I still dont have the lift working on the 1850. Will it hurt anything if I back the bolt all the way out to clean the threads and look to see if the ball is in there? It made my week to see you guys last week and made my day today to find out the possum grease worked.

A 1500 mile garage sale? Sounds like my worst nightmare. . .

But to each his own, said the old lady as she kissed the cow. Glad you had an enjoyable trip.

It won't hurt to take it all the way out. The ball is contained in the 3pt cylinder. We hit rain so bad up by Jamestown that we had to pull off for a while. We weren't sitting there alone. We made one more stop in Pall Mall when it stopped then headed for the Farmhouse for supper. Never saw that place so busy. The word must have got out among the yard sale crowd.

Well,I bought this darned thing, but I think the guy saw me coming. He gave me 30 days to move it,but it won't fly. He seemed a little shady. I think he's sold it before. LOL

Seriously though,I bought an electric orbital sander for $6. A nice creeper that folds up in to a shop stool with a back rest. Got that for $10. I bought an Oliver pony plow,a wrecking bar,a Beverly Hillbillies lunch box like I had in the fourth grade,a few other odds and ends. The wife bought a pressure canner,a steamer pan,a basket big enough for a hot air balloon. I don't know what the heck she's gonna do with that. She doesn't have a balloon. I don't know what else she ended up with.
I was looking for a set of lights that would have looked good on the Oliver 500 and a 10 inch pully, but came up empty on those.

It's only 690 miles. LOL
It's not about the junk,it's just a big social event after you've done it a few times. The first time we did it,I thought well OK,we did it,now we can at least say we did. There was just something that called us back though, and we've been going every since. Most of the folks you meet along the way are just big BS'ers and love to talk. How can you beat that?

LOL
I wish somebody hadn't got out their marker and scribbled out part of that one sign. It said "ugly and unruly women". I guess one of'em most have seen it and took offense. lol

Word probably did get out. Its the best place to eat for about 40 miles except on Wednesdays when the sale barn in Albany is open.lol

Yeah, I've gotta admit, I'd be in my element there.

Was in a three way conversation one time with my dad and a friend of his- and I held up my end admirably, if I do say so myself. On the way home, dad said "From a shy little guy, you've turned out to be a pretty darn good talker." I replied, "Yep, and I come by it honestly." We both had a good laugh. He was one of the best.

Don't have a Oliver, but will look at them anyway. Been going for 25 plus years. Excellent show, showgrounds and tractor pulls and flea market. Good time will be had by all!

This last weekend was the US12 yard sale--one big yard sale from Detroit to Chicago. Now if they extend the US127 one to Michigan that'll make for some real traffic around Artesian Wells, MI. As if race weekend at MIS isn't enough.

Guys i will be running the 3 HP JD engine at the grainery it runs the elevator and wagon hoist. stop and say hello Thanks Kent

If they were like me,they forgot until they got back out in the middle of the traffic jam. lol

It could make a pretty good water tower (stand pipe?). Myself, I'd want to put a wind generator on the top.

MC Mathews company made a lawn genie that would do as you want. Check with Phil Farr at MC crystal Lake il. He would know if still made or if any around. They were good machines but did not sell well.
