Made in the USA

I went to everyone's favorite store, WALLY WORLD. Bought a socket to remove oil filters. To my surprise, it said made in the USA. What's happening, couldn't they find a cheaper one in China?

While at Wally World, I took a second look see at the purolator filter for my Kaw mule. I WAS WRONG ABOUT THE PUROLATRO. It does appear to have a pressure relief valve. It's different looking, but I'm 99.9% sure it has one. However, I bound on ebay 12 stens filters for $40, which is cheaper than purolator, after taxes. And if I remember the pressure is slightly higher than all the other replacement filters for are for the kaw.

I am currently happy with the stens, have one for 2 years on a kaw engine, no problems. I researched recalls or problems with the stens, found nothing. I would like it if anyone can find negative things about the stens.

There is a lot of negative stuff about the fram filters. I found a pic of one defective one, same defective pic of filter many times too.

I changed the oil on my 1950 Farmall C, a can filter. Well I decided to remove the cardboard cover and take a look see. Guess who made this filter? Do you find anything wrong with it? Been using this brand for 5 years. I got tractor from my mother. Engine was rebuilt. Engine doesn't use a drop of oil.

The carb was leaking on the old girl, so I installed an electric shut off, solenoid valve, on gas line.

George Marsh- A while back you posted about your purchase of the DeWalt grease gun that I see in the pic. I ordered one based on your advice. That thing is awesome. I use it about every day. It's so much easier to just pull the trigger than try to contort oneself into awkward positions to pump the handle of the manual grease guns.

Thanks

Greg

Greg,
I am a fan of dewalt tools, however I am not a fan of dewalt Nicd batteries or dewalt li-ion. So I buy NI-MH at the same price as ni-cd. I love my grease gun. There aren't too many dewalt tools I don't have. As for the grease gun, I had a few places where the 10,000 psi did the job. It was neat to see the hose swell up on the problem ones.

However there is a law about grease guns and caulking guns. When using them you will get grease and caulking all over you. I even have a dewalt cordless caulking gun. Saves my old hands when I have a lot of caulking to do. Hard to keep the caulking off me and the gun. Same with grease gun.

I recently got rubber gloves from menards that work really well for grease guns, caulking, painting, working on cars, tractors. Love them too, good find.

We've bought 2 American flags at wallyworld. 1st one was made in china, the 2nd one was made in USA. I had to look at 2nd one 4-5 times to make sure I read it right :O

I saw something at wallyworld last night that was made in USA. Not something you'd expect, but can't remember what it was.

They've been saying they want to buy/sell more USA-made stuff.

You can get USA-made Craftsman tools yet, you have to order them online, it's the "Industrial" line, the regular Craftsman and Craftsman "Professional" lines are chinese.

Wally World finally caving some to Media Pressure.

Cant wait for the day that my Levis and Carhartt jeans are not made in Mexico, Vietnam or Nicaragua.
Doubt that I will ever see that day.!

You won't have to wait long...all those foreign workers will soon be over here with the new immigration policy.
