I went to everyone's favorite store, WALLY WORLD. Bought a socket to remove oil filters. To my surprise, it said made in the USA. What's happening, couldn't they find a cheaper one in China?
While at Wally World, I took a second look see at the purolator filter for my Kaw mule. I WAS WRONG ABOUT THE PUROLATRO. It does appear to have a pressure relief valve. It's different looking, but I'm 99.9% sure it has one. However, I bound on ebay 12 stens filters for $40, which is cheaper than purolator, after taxes. And if I remember the pressure is slightly higher than all the other replacement filters for are for the kaw.
I am currently happy with the stens, have one for 2 years on a kaw engine, no problems. I researched recalls or problems with the stens, found nothing. I would like it if anyone can find negative things about the stens.
There is a lot of negative stuff about the fram filters. I found a pic of one defective one, same defective pic of filter many times too.
I changed the oil on my 1950 Farmall C, a can filter. Well I decided to remove the cardboard cover and take a look see. Guess who made this filter? Do you find anything wrong with it? Been using this brand for 5 years. I got tractor from my mother. Engine was rebuilt. Engine doesn't use a drop of oil.
The carb was leaking on the old girl, so I installed an electric shut off, solenoid valve, on gas line.
