Three-Point Hitch

i put on a semi-mount mower on the 1800c for the first time. The three point hitch swings way to far. It has two stabilize bars on each side. What is the best way to keep it from swinging? chains or turnbuckle?

The stabilizer bars may have adjustable pins in the front of the bracket. From experience, my Ford 2n AND Ferguson TO-30 both have 4 different holes that the pin for the bar can go in, I had to move one of mine back so that they would fit on a back blade I have.

You might consider trying to mover the pins BACKWARDS one hole, that would cause the arms to be "tighter" on the implement... Bryce

You might want to.go to the oliver forum.on my 1550 and 1600 there were pads on the three point arms that rub on sway blocks mounted on drawbar frame how those are positioned determend how tight or loose your three point is

Could your mower be for a category two hitch and your stabilizers are still set in the category 1 position? You tractor's manual or the folks on the Oliver form should be able to help you.

ok I look at the three point hitch and it did not have the pads on them, I found them in the tool box. Thanks for the help guys.
