There don't seem to be too many(any) poultry guys that post here, but if there are, what do you think of the Russian chicken embargo?

You want a sane answer or are you just egging us on? Honest opinions are as scarce as hens teeth!

I haven't raised chickens in almost 6 years. All the years that I grew chickens there were several times that countries boycotted US poultry. Most of the time the contract grower didn't see much difference unless it lasted for a long time. The worst times I saw was when corn was hovering around $8. That's what bankrupted the company that I was contracted.
There is only so much farm land in the world and the population is still growing. There may be a short term adverse effect on all farm products as the suppliers shift but eventually it will even out IMO.

I have had fowl on and off since I was around 10 years old. I have chickens and have now for at least 10 years. That said at times they can be a pain in the back sides
