weed eater brush cutter??????????? no clue

Found this in the garbage today somebody clean out a house no clue looks a weed eater cant find nothin online about think it says bulldog in the back and brush king on top! Any info? It was just to old to see go to landfill!

And I thought my Stihl got heavy after a while. The best part is that there is no guard. If you need an engine that size you had better be decked out like an NHL goalie. I can just envision toothpick sized pieces rammed into my shins.
 
Brian806, you made a smart move! That particular one looks older than any I have ever seen. I would clean it up and hang it up somewhere for a conversation piece, if nothing else. As someone said, it likely goes back to the 50s. When I began repairing equipment for Sears in 1965 that WAS the weedeater of the day. Sears sold units made by Hoffco with Tecumseh Power-Products engines. They came with two blades, a saw blade for saplings, etc. and a "tri-cut" three sided blade for weeds. A lot of those things were sold.
 
Brush king was a popualr 1950-60"s bramd belive engine as power products tecumseh 85 cc. Not worth to much but collectable. Chainsaw collectors grab this stuff.
